The beautiful old set of 6 French knife rests have been in my collection for many years and at my table. The repousée acanthus and wheel motif accents many of the beautiful old silver patterns. The knife rests are all silver, and as with most smaller items which must have strength beyond softer sterling, they're made in .800/1000 silver. Each has a boar's head profile hallmark, with is the control guarantee.  Full measurements noted on the photos.

Very good to excellent condition for age and type, no breaks, bends, dents or flaws to note. This is a full set. French silver is sold in sets of 6 rather than 8, as is the norm for American silver.  Nothing to diminish your enjoyment nor the value on this beautiful old set. I can't put a year to these, so perhaps vintage to antique. Purchased as antique about 30 years ago. Silversmith's poincon is just impossible to identify and would be the key to exact date.  NOTE: plate and knife are not included. Just the set of 6 knife rests.
